Description
Directly From Radium:
The Radium Engineering fuel hanger completely replaces the factory in-tank fuel pump unit in the R35 GT-R and permits up to three 39mm diameter aftermarket pumps (brushed or brushless) to supply fuel to the engine. No permanent vehicle modifications are required for installation. The pumps are housed in an aluminum collector box that is kept full during operation. This ensures that fuel starvation does not occur, even during aggressive driving. The fuel pump outlet port is -10AN ORB female threaded and includes a 6AN male adapter, while the return port is -8AN ORB female threaded and includes a 6AN male adapter. The system is compatible with alternative fuels such as methanol, ethanol, E85, etc. Radium Engineering recommends reviewing the installation instructions (link above) before purchasing.
From ATR Performance:
ATR is located in the Phoenix area, and as such – We experience very warm temperatures (Often in excess of 110 degrees F). We’ve run every different variety of fuel pump and hanger setups and found flaws in most. The R35 fuel tank is located above the transmission and exhaust, and fuel is known to get quite warm in the summer months. In addition to this, many brushed pumps such as the Walbro 450 and 525 heat the fuel even more. In fact, ethanol can get hot enough to boil inside the R35 fuel tank. This results in fuel cavitation, engine cutting out, and eventual fuel pump failure. When we installed this Radium hanger with two Walbro branded BRUSHLESS fuel pumps and controllers, we were able to cut the fuel temps by a minimum of 15 degrees F and have never experienced a fuel pump failure in over 3 years of use with this setup.
Fitted with two Walbro BKS1001 brushless fuel pumps, this Radium hanger will support 1500HP while running on E85 ethanol. Please NOTE that this hanger does NOT come with fuel pumps or fuel pump wiring – We sell these items separately.
